Data Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your data stored by RYVIO — including accounts connected via Facebook or Instagram Login (Meta Data Deletion requirement). This English version is a courtesy translation. In case of any discrepancy, the German version of this document prevails.

1. Disconnecting a single platform connection

You can disconnect any connected Instagram, Facebook, or other platform account yourself at any time, without contacting support.

  • Open "Profile → Social accounts" while signed in
  • Click "Disconnect" on the connection you want to remove
  • The encrypted access token and the corresponding record are deleted from our database immediately
  • Facebook: the granted permission is additionally revoked at Meta
  • Instagram: the token is deleted on our side; you can additionally remove the app's access to your Instagram account in the Instagram settings under "Apps and websites"
  • YouTube/Google: you can additionally revoke access at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions; for LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok in the settings of the respective account

This applies regardless of whether the connection was made via Facebook Login or Instagram Login, and fulfils Meta's requirement for a user-triggered data deletion mechanism.

2. Full deletion of your user account

You delete your user account, including all stored content (posts, uploaded media, check results, platform connections, team memberships), in the application under "Profile → Delete account". Alternatively, send an informal e-mail to kontakt@ryvio.me with the subject "Account deletion" from the e-mail address you signed up with.

We confirm receipt of a request by e-mail and complete the deletion of the account and all associated data within 30 days, unless a legal retention obligation requires otherwise. Connected platform accounts are disconnected in the process; permissions are revoked at the platform where the platform supports this.

3. Scope of deletion

A full account deletion removes, in particular:

  • login and profile data of the user account
  • all connected platform access tokens (stored encrypted) and their connection records
  • created and scheduled posts as well as uploaded media
  • content check scoring and ranking results for those posts
  • team memberships and invite links of the associated organization

Excluded are records we are legally required to retain (e.g. for commercial or tax law reasons); those are deleted once the applicable retention period expires.
